In the summer
of 2000, Jim Dennis and Dennis Foley, Dane Scalise and Andy Keane would write
and produce music for what would be called The Fade-Outs—a pop-rock-combo,
with a retro-60's sound, and vocal harmonies in the style of The Band,
The Beach Boys
and The Beatles. They also have progressive rock and pop-jazz
influences such as Yes, Joni Mitchell and Steely Dan.
The members of Fade-Outs worked on various productions together over
the years, including a song production
for the "Daria" movie on MTV. They all collaborated again on
The
Invisible Movie Soundtrack by Penny Nation. On this CD, you can hear "She
Sings To Me" by
the Fade-Outs featuring the versatile and soulful voice of
Lydia (who
shares
much writing and production credit on the
IMS). Performing
on keys, production and pulling the
IMS together
was Scott Vercoe of the
Zen Bastards.
After the release of the
IMS The Fade-Outs set
out to write and record a new collection of songs for release, which we
are presenting to you here.
