The Fade-Outs

The Fadeouts - Rainy Days (CD)

In the summer of 2000, Jim Dennis and Dennis Foley, Dane Scalise and Andy Keane would write and produce music for what would be called The Fade-Outs—a pop-rock-combo, with a retro-60's sound, and vocal harmonies in the style of The Band, The Beach Boys and The Beatles. They also have progressive rock and pop-jazz influences such as Yes, Joni Mitchell and Steely Dan.
The members of Fade-Outs worked on various productions together over the years, including a song production for the "Daria" movie on MTV. They all collaborated again on The Invisible Movie Soundtrack by Penny Nation. On this CD, you can hear "She Sings To Me" by the Fade-Outs featuring the versatile and soulful voice of Lydia (who shares much writing and production credit on the IMS). Performing on keys, production and pulling the IMS together was Scott Vercoe of the Zen Bastards. After the release of the IMS The Fade-Outs set out to write and record a new collection of songs for release, which we are presenting to you here.
In the fall of 2002, with most of the tracks for the release finished, The Fade-Outs gathered together a group of friends/musicians: Timmy Keane, Dawn McDavid and Rob Norberg to perform their material, as well as some classic favorites.

The Fade-Outs are now hitting the stage with vibrant, mature and interesting vocal harmonies and grooves, including some challenging classics such as "Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys. The music of The Fade-Outs understands the spirit of change as the music seems to embody growth . The music is not simply a throw-back to another era, but a continuation of unfinished ideas. Listening to the The Fade-Outs is an adventure of twist and turns while while keeping a sensible musical center.

Featuring: Jim Dennis on Guitar and vocals, Dennis Foley on keys and vocals, Dane Scalise on bass and vocals, Andy Keane on a bunch of different instruments and vocals, Timmy Keane on percussion, mandolin and guitar and vocals, Dawn McDavid on vocals and percussion and Rob Norberg on drums.

The highly skilled song crafting of The Fade-Outs is something you will want to share with your friends.

THE MUSIC OF THE FADE OUTS SIMPLY MAKES PEOPLE HAPPY
